Vacation Tips

May 8, 2007

It’s that time of the year when you start making plans to travel and relax. However, your trip shouldn’t be an excuse for you to get out of shape. I’m sure that you are going to work out leading up to the trip, why not stay in shape along the way. As long as you are taking your iPod or phone along with, you can also take your personal trainer with you and workout right in your hotel room, local gym, or the beach – hey why not!

Having your cell phone, iPod, or any image-ready device with you on your journey is probably already a no-brainer. Taking electronics can be vital when traveling and staying fit – at least if you use PumpOne digital trainers. You won’t miss your live personal trainer too much if you have him/her create a workout plan to take on your trip.

Since I’m sure you already know the importance of having a bikini-ready body, don’t forget that the only way to maintain such hottness is by combining a balanced diet, and exercise (yes, even on vacation). Who knows, someone may spring a weekend getaway on you, in the future, and you want to be ready.

I’m sure you have been working on getting those abs perfect, don’t forget to book your tickets, pack the sunscreen, show off that body during your trip!

That Time of Year

May 4, 2007

I think that this weekend kicks off Spring Workout Season. Of course this is an unofficial term, but let’s be honest, everyone is starting to think about that bathing suit they’ll be donning in the next month or so.

The weather has finally turned a bit and this is the infamous last weekend before… (think December 30th). So if you haven’t started with your diet and exercise routine yet be sure to live it up this weekend and we’ll see you on Monday.

Besides the workout programs that PumpOne creates, there are a number of great support groups online. I’ve listed a few of our favorites.

iVillage Health and Fitness – they already started, but I’m sure you can join a bit late.

Traineo - A free social network for people trying to lose weight (PumpOne has a group there)

Gimme20 – Another social network focused on working out.

Swishy & PumpOne: Sientete Bien y Mirate Incluso Mejor!/ Feel Good and Look Even Better!

May 1, 2007

I definitely agree with the comment published in Swishy magazine. The fact that we don’t have enough time to go to the gym should not be an excuse not to be in shape. With the help of today’s modern technology, it is very easy to carry your own personal trainer on the palm of your hand – that’s PumpOne’s motto!
Besides the benefit of being able to workout anywhere and anytime, don’t forget that you can also listen to your own music. Since not all of us get motivated to the same rhythm, PumpOne gives you the option to workout and listen to your music at home, the gym, hotel, office, etc. No matter where, now there is no excuse not to be in shape!

Benefits of Listening to your Music While Working Out

April 26, 2007

Most of us can agree that it’s better to listen to music while working out simply because its fun! The question is, is there a benefit to listening to music while performing a daily workout routine, or is it just a matter of preference?

Turns out there is research that proves listening to music while exercising is one of the best ways to stay motivated and have a better workout. Music relaxes and distracts you; and time just seems to fly by while you’re listening to tunes.

Music is great for exercise, however, not all music provides equal results. According to research – whether it’s fast, slow, rowdy, or smooth – if it captures your attention, it will motivate you and elevate your mood. It’s important to choose music that you like and can focus on.
So now we know that music actually enhances your workout performance. You don’t have to listen to heavy metal to get the workout that you are looking for; you may be one of those people gets pumped to older or more soothing tunes, grandma!

Heard on the Web

April 24, 2007

Just a quick shout out to the ladies on techdivas for writing about us this morning. The review is very accurate and totally unsolicited, as far as I know.

I guess the big question is, what divas are the techdivas listening to while working out with PumpOne trainers. I’m guessing there is at least one playlist with I Will Survive by Diana Ross.

Ladies, whats on your iPods?
